4. River City Art and Antique Center: The must see shopping center where you can find rare Asian antique and great qaulity tailor.

5. Wat Mahaphutaram: Our neighbouring temple has a magnificent architect.

6. Siam Commercial Bank Talad Noi Branch: Thailand's first bank ever built, now registered as National Treasure.

7. Sampheg Lane: The first and busiest retail street where you can buy from commerical items to gifts by large quantity only.
By river boat
The nearest pier to us is N4-Marine Department Pier or formerly known as Krom Jao Tha Pier. The regular river boat, without any flag, stop every pier, while the express boat with orange flag is faster with a bit extra cost. It’s the easiest way to experience the Bangkok way of leaving. As the Bangkok once was called the Venice of the East, the Chaopraya River is still the heart of the city.
Attractions by the river
1. Grand Palace: A must-see tourist attraction. Make sure you check the opening time before visit.
2. Wat Pho or Temple of Sleeping Buddha: Stunning sleeping golden buddha where you can stop at the oldest Thai tradition massage school for most authentic massage.
3. Wat Arun or Temple or Dawn: breath-taking ancient architect that wow every visitors.
4. Oriental Hotel & Spa: One of the best hotel in the world where we recommend for afternoon tea and also one of the best in the world spa.
5. Kao San Road: Home of backpackers; plenty of restaurants, bars, and shops.
By bus: Several buses running near by serving almost every destination.
By underground (MRT) and sky train: The nearest underground station is at Hualamphong Station which is about 10 minutes walk to us. You can take the underground to Chutuchak or so-called Weekend market, or to Suan Lum Night Bazaar for shopping. The connection of the MRT and the sky train is at Saladaeng Station where you can reach the business district of Silom, or take the sky train to center city where several shopping malls located such as Siam Paragon, Siam Discovery, Maboonklong, and Central World Plaza.
By taxi and tuk-tuk: All taxies are metered by distance and time waiting. The tuk-tuks are not metered, so it can be negotiable.
Attractions within 15 minutes by car (off rush hour)
1. MBK shopping center and Siam Square: This is the center of shopping heaven. It is also a walking distance to Siam Paragon, Central World, and Gaysorn Plaza.
2. State Tower or Sirocco Bar: Rated as the best and highest bar in the world. Smart-casual dress code is very strict.
3. Lumpini Park and Lumpini Night Bazaar: a great public park by day and a shopping center by night just next to it. Lumpini Boxing Stadium is also a stone-thrown away.
4. Pat Pong or Silom Night Bazaar: a notorious red light district where you can find great shows, bars, and counterfeit items.
A Day Trip out of Bangkok
1.Ayuthaya
We highly recommend a day trip to Ayuthaya, the former capital of Thailand where you can visit many of the historic sites.
Talk to our Tour Agency Desk, we can arrange a day trip all inclusive (bus, buffet lunch, guide, and boat trip on the way back). The bus will pick you up from Royal Orchid Sheraton in early morning, 5 mins walk, and return to River City by boat around 5pm.
